Location . Lobby & dining room were beautifully decorated.

Room was very old, mattress was extremely hard. We needed more pillows to be able to sit up in bed as there was no chairs.

First morning we were awoken by loud footsteps preparing breakfast, the rooms are not even remotely soundproofed.Then we were given another room and the maid service was playing MTV as loud as it could possibly go down the hall for all to hear. Then the last night I asked for a glass with some ice and I was told it must be saved for bar customers this was at 9:05 pm and the bar closed at 10:00pm a

Convenience; location (quiet whilst reasonably central and a pretty corner by canal), affordable price, room was quite large and comfortable with chairs and sufficient light. Breakfasts were good except see below.

No sitting room; we were turned out of only public sitting area, bar, when we did not buy a drink quickly enough although bar was only used once whilst we were there by anyone else; one night staff member turned lights out on all those sitting there (without warning). No fruit with breakfast. No tea making facility in room.

Easy access to the main part of Brugges. OK for a 2 star hotel.

Panelling in the room badly needed dusting. No fruit at breakfast.Description of location on Booking.com site a bit deceptive.
